Additionally, Ullman taught "Entrepreneurship", a course at Oregon State University for four years. This course was sponsored by both the Colleges of Engineering and Business and drew students from them both.

Ullman has served six years on the Board of Director of the Business Enterprise Center, the largest business incubator in Oregon.

He has been a speaker at local forums on entrepreneurship and startup funding.
